Rudy Giuliani's Daughter Arrested for Shoplifting

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani’s daughter Caroline, 20, was arrested Wednesday for shoplifting but will walk away with a desk appearance ticket for “petit larceny.”

Caroline, who attends Harvard University, was arrested at a Manhattan Sephora after store security called the cops when Caroline was spotted on security cameras putting 5 cosmetic items worth more than $100 in her purse.

Police indicate that she also had $300 cash in her handbag, more than enough to have paid for the purchases.

NYPD Detective Martin Speechley tells PEOPLE that “petit larceny,” is a police term for shoplifting goods worth less than $500.
